: Thats kind of a foolish assumption. The internet has become a wide-spread addiction, not just for the elitist nerd population. While the concept of every computer geek looking like Johnny Lee Miller and Angelina Jolie is a farce - I still wouldnt say that every fan of the internet is the exact opposite (even generally).

: Ah, but its funny to make preconceptions about people they dont know who use the internet (see above). But it all comes down to making a first impression without the use of inflection or intent. You can be anything you want to be based on how well you get your message across in text. Thats why I dont ever guess what a person is like in person.
