debating what about the film is right or wrong.. To be quite honest, I could care less.. It's an interesting story, but that's all the Bible is to me, an over-exaggerated Aesop’s Fables. I have seen churches holding special meetings to boycott this film at our local cinemas. I'm sure you'd know much more about that, though.. The fact that I live here says nothing. I've talked to a couple of my friends, both of which are management employees at the two larger cinemas here, they both told me that it's the decision of the theatre managers which films get shown there. So it's absurd to say that the Christians in the event they stir up enough shit can't keep this film from being shown. I've seen the Passion play, it's really interesting, but by "the way things really were" I mean the brutality of the crucifixion. In every movie you see about it they just show him hanging out on the cross (no pun intended) and that's it. I think it's great that Mel is showing the pain experienced by the man.
