I have DirecTV, and they were very helpful when I called about a blackout of a couple of the HBO channels I was supposed to be getting. The people there really know their stuff and don't give you a huge run-around or make you wait. If you've got DirecTV, try calling them and ask them about it - they'll give you a straight-forward, clear answer without any problems.
And if you don't have DirecTV, call your provider anyway. Hopefully, they'll be as helpful as the DirecTV people are.
