The Crucifixion was the most monumental thing Jesus did. It isn't about violence or death it's about the act of giving himself up for mankind, Saving the world of sin. Now if your Jewish then you problably don't really care about my view or what Christians believe but that's why it's focused on the Crusifixion. Jesus taught great things and you could make literally hours of tape on the teachings but this is about the sacrifice and the importance of it. I honestly couldn't disagree more with what you just said. A jewish lady is in the movie (i forget what part she place specifically but it's somewhat significant ) and she says she's not offended by the movie at all. Overall, the Romans killed Jesus, it's the bottomline and i'm 100% positive that Mel will present it that way.

Why do you think Jesus talked in code? So that people who were just interested in miracles and politics couldn't claim to represent Jesus to the people who actually understood.
