: The Crucifixion was the most monumental thing Jesus did. It isn't about violence or death it's about the act of giving himself up for mankind, Saving the world of sin. Now if your Jewish then you problably don't really care about my view or what Christians believe but that's why it's focused on the Crusifixion. Jesus taught great things and you could make literally hours of tape on the teachings but this is about the sacrifice and the importance of it. I honestly couldn't disagree more with what you just said. A jewish lady is in the movie (i forget what part she place specifically but it's somewhat significant ) and she says she's not offended by the movie at all. Overall, the Romans killed Jesus, it's the bottomline and i'm 100% positive that Mel will present it that way.
have been going to different Christian churches since I was 8 years old. I grew up in a neighborhood where everyone accepted each other's beliefs and wanted to learn as much as they could about the differences. It wasn't until I got married and moved to a different neighborhood did I ever experience anti-Semitism first hand and, believe me, it was a shocker.

I agree 100%. Jesus was the greatest Rabbi (Rabbi means "teacher" for those of you who don't know). If only these religious phanatics who promote hate were really "true Christians." To me, a true Christian follows the teachings of Christ and there is no better teacher than Christ.
