: on paper, no one would, because it seems like a tremendous amount of money, yeah? i
mean hell, that’s more than any kevin smith film has made, right? in actuality, its really not a
great deal of money when you know that they put 120 million dollars into making the
marketing the thing. is it profitable? yes...was it a good return on the expenditure? no, not
really.

If I make an investment and I make $55 million, I'm happy. I don't give a shit what it is.
That said, I agree that the bar has been raised by Spider-Man and X2 in terms of how much
a super hero comic book film SHOULD make. But, c'mon... flop? Flop is more like The Hulk
which BARELY made it's money back.

Don't forget that X-Men (the first one) didn't exactly light it up at the box office but they
went ahead and made a sequel. I think a Daredevil 2 story, one where they didn't have to do
an origin story, would be really really good.

: daredevil was a tentpole film, it was expected, and made (to an extent) to gross at least
triple what it did. financially it might not seem like a disappointment, but realistically (film
industry, mind you) it was.

For Fox?!
