how much like an ass-kicking black-leather-bustier-wearing martial artist can a 4 year old be?
hey...I am just a little bitter about names. my mom couldn't think of a middle name for me so she chose 'martin' after the couple in the next bed over. Mr and Mrs Martin....just some mystery couple whose name I bear.
:
: : it's tricky naming kids after celebrities or their characters. it's like getting a tattoo, but where you'd be the one holding the regret, you now have a child holding it with you
: I - I guess WE - thought about that, but we figured it would be good to have something to live up to. and we have no qualms with our daughter growing up to be an who saves herself for "the one." She's actually a lot like the character already at 4 years old, and has not seen the movie (she's too young still).
: As for Bethany, we just hope she's not as whiny as the character (could just be Linda), but have no problems with her wanting to help others like Bethany's character does. Our daughter Bethany, now 2 1/2, is as far different from Trinity as could be possible. She's quieter, more laid back, and more cautious. I think we named them well. Only time will tell.
: Thanks for your input!
: and because you never asked... my parents named me Jodi after a (male)race car driver. They just liked the name. (How southern!) When my youngest sister was born, my maternal grandmother insisted she be named for her side of the family: Vera Matilda. Thankfully, my parents stood firm that they wanted to have another "J" name and named her Jinger. Jinger's name helped her out a lot - an easy name to remember when you're considering someone for TV. Any listers in Ithaca, NY, might have seen her on the Time Warner Cable station, Jinger Guerrette. She's be great in a movie, Kevin! Ok, so a shameless plug for my model-beautiful little sister.
