has to prove the legitimacy of the purchase -- not the customer. Speaking as an online merchant, it sucks! The customer is ALWAYS protected. Losing a wallet is an entirely different story. It needs to be reported immediately to your bank, credit card companies, and credit bureaus (like Experian or Equifax).
