Hello Loyal Posters,

This is a shout out to my very hard working husband. The man has been dog and ponying it
from the crack of dawn radio shows to late night T.V for almost two months now. He has put
his heart and soul into this movie and in two days we can finally begin to close the book on
what has been a very unexpected wild ride. As most of you know, I married into family View
Askew during Dogma. While pregnant we faced down the death treats of the Catholic
League. During Jay and Bob it was the insane accusations of GLADD that we were gay
bashers. I was so happy while reading Jersey Girl because I naively thought that this would
be a smooth ride into the box office sunset. Really, a PG-13 movie about a father and
daugther, no controversy there. Now a survivor of Bennifer and Gigli, I laugh at that silly,
optimistic girl of two years ago. I realize that we don't have anything close to a sob story life.
However, Kevin takes his work very personally and it is a direct reflection of where he is at a
particular moment in his own story. He tried something new with Jersey Girl. I'm very proud
of him for taking the chance and stepping out of the safe Jay and Bob box to make a very
simple love story. It doesn't rely on our favorite dick and fart jokes. While a lot of the familiar
faces are there, they are not playing the beloved Askewniverse characters. I love this movie
for exactly what it is and you will too. I love my husband even more for making it. I woke up
this morning and he was gone. I dig what Kevin does to make a living, but during the
filmmaking process the movie itself takes on an identity of its own. It's like living with his
mistress and she pays the bills. If this is the closest my husband comes to cheating on me,
I'm a happy woman. However, glorious, glorious Friday, will you never come!

Love,
Jen
