So I'm sitting at home tonight trying to get some homework done. I have the TV on, mainly just for noise. I happen to have it tuned in to some cable movie channel playing the movie Pleasantville - about the kids who get sucked into the world of Television Innocence. Its the scene down on Lover's Lane with a young, perky, coquettish Reese Witherspoon making her advances on the poor, unsuspecting town jock. I could not look away from the television set. Maybe it was the Clerk-esque use of black and white film, or maybe the 50's wonder-bra Reese was wearing. I was totally captivated....and aroused! Then in the next scene, Reese is talking to her mother "You know, Mom - there are other ways to enjoy yourself when dad's not around." In my mind, all I could hear is cheesy 70's porn music kick in - then the mom goes into the bathtub alone and does her own version of the "When Harry Met Sally" scene!
Now, I saw this movie when it was in the theathers - why the hell don't I remember it being like this???
You know, maybe its just because I am home alone without the wife tonight, and its just starting to affect my mind. Yeah - that must be it....earlier, I was channel surfing and happened upon the TV Land Awards Show. It was during a musical number where the actresses who played Blair and Mrs. Garret came out and sang the theme to The Facts of Life. At the end of the number, Blair leaned over and gave Mrs Garret a peck on the cheek. The only thing that went through my head was "They are recreating the Madonna-Britney Spears lesbian kiss!!!"
Oh shit, man - I better get to bed!!!
