Dude, don't get me wrong I am a VERY big fan, but what the hell is going on?! I keep seeing all of these advertisements, and Kevin Smith interviews where EVERYONE says "Here's the director of Clerks and Chasing Amy"... WHAT ABOUT MALLRATS?! God, when Chasing Amy came out, it was the same BS... "Here's the director of Clerks"... Come on, man. Take credit for MallRats. That movie rocked. Clerks was great, Chasing Amy was great, Dogma was great, AND MALLRATS WAS GREAT! I think it is wrong for you to leave MallRats out, jst because it didn't make $14 billion opening weekend. I think it's wrong for you to listen to critics, and publicity agents, and let them talk you into hiding MallRats. That movie rocked! Dude, the Jedi mind trick, the Wyle E. Coyote blueprints, the "I, too, am in the framing business", the "He made a CD player out of his mom's"...
If *I* wrote, directed, and starred in that movie, I would have it tattooed on my forehead! Kevin, this is not a movie to hide, or be ashamed of because it wasn't a blockbuster, and believe me, if you advertise "The writer/director/co-star of MallRats", people will know who you are! I also must say, that Jason Mewes is hillarious! The "Jay and Silent Bob" stuff on MTV had me ROLLING, and "Build Me Up Buttercup" is a daily ritual for my computer. Kevin, you rock... You have a GREAT bunch of friends/actors working for you, and if you don't start claiming MallRats, I'm going to have send you a dead fish...
PS. You're Politically Incorrect was awesome! Obviusly you did your homework on the Bible Thumper, and was prepared...
Also, I heard you on the radio here in Dallas this morning, and must say, our morning show guys have kind of a lame sense of humor, but as always, I was glad to hear you talk...
