I, and I suppose most everybody, was happy to see the voice-overs removed from the special edition (or whatever it's called) of BLADERUNNER, where they didn't work so well as they did in DUNE. I think serious students of film noir might have something to add to this observation, however.
And while I'm on the subject, why somebody hasn't gotten a BLADERUNNER 2: THE EDGE OF HUMAN (by K.W. Jeter with Dick's blessing) project underway is beyond me. It was a fantastic novel. You might enjoy it.
