my picks are....
1: X-Men
this is an awesome movie that still doesn't dumb anything down despite a PG-13 rating to reach a wider audience.
2: The Crow
again an awesome movie, it stayed close to the dark comic roots and had a kick ass final performance of brandon lee (rest in peace)
3: Mallrats
what can i say.. hilarious dialouge, great timing, jay and silent bob, and kevin smith directing. sure not based on a comic but it has a lot of comic subplots.
4: Superman: The Movie
the first movie showed that an "everyman" for Superman can work, but he must look like Superman, not like Nicolas Cage.
5: Batman
the original Batman choose the best actor to play Batman and the best to play the best villian, The Joker. Keaton and Nicolson have great performances in the only movie to not get too campy, even though the camp in Batman Returns was really just corny,
I wanted to put Blade on there, but had to fit in Mallrats.
