I watched it too

Which is about the best I can say.

Comedy is very subjective, so what's brilliant for Lynch isn't always going
to be brilliant for Kev, and vice versa. But for what it's worth, here's
my advice: I would've ended the short after the first killing (actually,
that's not true; I would've not made the short at all). Less is more. The
subsequent slaughters diluted the joke, and by the time you mentioned
nuking France, you were making the audience not like you (although the
France-bashing joke would get you rave reviews on this board; folks around
here wax fanciful about nuking France all the time, for some strange
reason; their vehemence seems misguided, however, as I don't think many of
them have much experience with the French, really - outside of the fries
and the Croissanwich).

Two things did make me chuckle though: the father yelling at his wife to
get back in the kitchen (which also made Mewes chuckle); and the narrator
(who was really, really wooden) tying a noose out of an extension cord and
hanging himself. The tawdry cord over, say, a simple rope - that was a
nice touch.

But while watching it, I said to myself (and aloud, even) "Lynch! Must...
show... Lynch..." (or was it "Must... eat... lunch..."? I can't remember
now). The stabs (no pun intended) at humor reminded me of 'Big Helium Dog'
a little (maybe simply because there was a 'Timmy' in BHD too), only far,
far less successful. I thought it might make him smile, but I'd no idea
he'd give it the rave review he did.

In fact, I don't think I've ever heard Brian obsess over someone else's
work like this before. He even mentioned wanting to write with you, Bob.
I thought he was kidding, but when I caught a glimpse of his thousand-yard,
'nam-like stare, I knew he wasn't being facetious. Clearly, this was a man
in love with the caliber of the work he bore witness to. I think we're
seeing the beginning of a new writing team here, folks. It's like when
Jerry Juhl met Jack Burns. This is pretty exciting stuff.

I have but one request...

That I get invited to the wedding.

And just to keep things in perspective...

Lynch loved 'Good Burger' with Keenan and Kel.

A lot.
