Has anyone read the Goofs for Dogma on the IMDB? One "Incorrectly regarded as a goof:" states "Bartleby is what Metatron calls a watcher, which means he knows what sins people have committed, and we see him exercise this throughout the film but on the train when Bethany is talking to him, only at the end of the conversation when she start explaining her mission does he realize who she was. This makes some sense, since he was both drunk and high, he was not explicitly looking for her sins, and in any case, the plot she's part of hadn't yet become a sin (if, indeed it ever did)."
However, isn't it true that Bartleby CAN'T get drunk or high? Metatron said that Angels were banned from drinking because of Loki and Bartelby. However, even though they are exiled, Loki and Bartleby are still Angels and have to follow God's decree. I assume pot gets lumped in there too as Loki "fakes" taking a hit of the joint Jay hands him. Either that or it was poor acting on Matt's part. Which I doubt.
Any comments?
