I had to go get my physical for the movie today. In order to get the picture insured, the director has to get a clean bill of health by a doctor, prior to shooting (because no company will insure a flick if the director's got one foot in the grave, in case he or she drops dead while shooting).

So I'm sitting in the office, filling out my paperwork, when a guy comes out, just having had his examination for his picture. And this guy says...

"Kevin. Hi. Paul Thomas Anderson."

I say "Hey, man! How are you?" and ask him why he's there (duh). He responds that he's there for the requisite check-up for his flick, we smile at one another for a beat, and then he's off.

See? No feud at all.
