'The Best of the Late Show' (that's OUR Late Show) is coming out on DVD in a couple of weeks. Six hours of pure D Genereation-ey goodness, with full commentary. Joy!
Ever wanted to see a young Russell Crowe completely unrecognisable as Shirty the Slightly Aggressive Bear? Then this'll be the disc for you.
For our International friends: the D Generation are the folk who made 'The Castle' and 'The Dish' -- but this is when they were still piss-yourself funny. Now they're just smile-inducing, and call themselves Working Dog.
Now all we need is a 'Frontline' DVD.
'Chopper' is out in SE on DVD here, now, too. Fucking Yay.
'Lantana' I plan to see as soon as humanly possible. Looks beaut.
'Let's Get Skase' I dunno about. However, it looks like it cost a hell of a lot more than AU$5m to make. Talk about squeezing every cent. It looks damn professional. Whether it's any bloody good is another thing. I'll probably take a punt sometime this week.
So what's the go with our 'Clerks' disc? Is it widescreen, or have Siren shafted us yet again?
Oh, and the bloke who wrote 'He Died With A Felafel In His Hand' was John Birmingham. And from all accounts, the movie is a steaming pile. 'The Tasmanian Babes Fiasco' would've made a infinitely better picture.
Cheers.
Adam.
