Stars wars had silly dialogue and whiny heroes, I remember Luke skywalker whining something along the lines of, "oh! but I wanted to go into Mos Eisley to buy some power converters". However, Star Wars is still one of the greatest films ever. Films can be highly enjoyable even with corny dialogue. Evem films that are hailed as true genius and oscar worthy like, "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon" have uninspired romatic lines such as when one character says something like "you're eyes are full of stars".
