: Since we're selling the DVD for RETAIL price the autograph is free.
i'mm pretty sure the point he's making is that nobody else online sells ANYTHING for retail.
example:
J&SBSB ranges anywhere from $21.59-$18.74 depending on where you buy it... as opposed to the Stash price of $29.99
drawing flies at the Stash is $19.99 while at Amazon it's $14.98 (and can be gotten elsewhere for the same price or perhaps less)
i'm not saying this is a bad thing it's just that people buying have to make a choice about where to buy it... would they prefer $5-10 in yr pocket or would you prefer an autograph on yr DVD. I generally prefer to hold on to those $5-10 and put it towards something else. If the stash were more competitive pricewise, i'd be more than willing to throw my money kevin's way... i'd prefer it, actually... i'm all about putting money back into the pocket of those who are creating the shit i like...
if the prices were lowered on the discs in general and THEN an autographed copy was offered for the full retail price i don't think anybody would complain... then maybe the Stash could start ordering more copies and getting a better unit price.
AND start taking american express for fuck's sake. do you hate America SO MUCH that you refuse to accept AMERICAN express? have some pride, man. : )
personally, i'm going to buy Drawing Flies from the Stash. It's not like it's going to sell a million billion copies so that's putting the money in the right place. If malcolm gets an extra $1.50 out of the extra $5 the stash is charging, cool... brotha deserves a little extra spending money.
but i'll be buying J&SBSB from the place that will get it to me the cheapest... because j&sbsb WILL be selling a million billion copies... and Harley's already going to harvard.
