No. You just described why this movie is such a mess. Its not horrible, but it's too schitzophrenic for it's own good...in terms of visual style, writing style, characters, technical style, WHATEVER, the film is all over the place from the first second...it's hardly a cohesive film, and more just a collection of vaguely interesting scenes...basically it's "The Musketeer" with more blood, tits, and better lighting.
