I love that film. I can't believe it isn't played as a classic. The western made from it sure is. Ugh.

If you get a chance to see the DVD version, check the commentary. Awesome stuff. If you didn't know anything about it before, this will sure let you in on it all. Japanese culture was always "part" of my brain, but this film really just brought it all out.
Beware the 93 print of the VHS... So much got cut from it. Such an awful thing to do to such a great film.
