Now, I know that this is off-topic. And I know that on top of that, it has already had a lot written about it. But I am going to write it any ways.
Now for anyone who hasn't seen the new Star Wars movie by now, one word don't. However, if you are going to, the following contains spoilers:
I saw the latest Star Wars movie on Sunday. And walking in to the theater I was somewhat excited about it because word was that it was better than Episode 1 (which though I didn't love, I thought it was okay.) I came out of the theater thinking several things.
One; it was in fact worse than Episode 1. Two; the plot was cliched, which I expected, but not to the degree that it was. Three; the acting was laughably bad. I thought that the only good actors were Ewan McGregor who had a I-wish-I-would-have-read-the-script-before-signing-on-to-this face on, and Samuel L. Jackson, who's acting was limited to making "interesting" faces at a computer generated character. Four; the dialogue was bad even for George Lucas standards (need I remind your of Anakin Skywalker's sand talk.) Five; whoever came up with the idea of having a scene were Yoda spoofs The Matrix should be ashamed of themselves (and whoever animated the scene should also be ashamed.) And last but not least six; why the heck was R2-D2 at the arena any ways (it would be kind if anyone who knows the answer to tell me.)
I know George Lucas only made this movie for some more money, but does he have to make it so apparent?
