...is that all this info is now readily available. When I was an undergrad, the PC hadn't even gotten into common use. I had a friend who worked at MIT, one night he printed out his paper from a mainframe based word processing program. We had to go up two stories to pick it up.

Information just didn't flow like it does now. I wore out a copy of The Wall before I knew very much about Syd Barrett. I didn't read a lot of music mags and anyway, they weren't doing much about the Floyd by the time I got into them. Word of mouth was suspect.

Now, however, you can find out anything you want. It's nice. But I remember the music scene from back then and there was a lot of misinformation and half truths being spread around.
