Old news friend. Been common knowledge this few days, and personally, I think it sucks.
YES. YOU READ RIGHT. IT SUCKS.
Why? Because now, more than ever, the ignorant souls who pollute the earth will want more fullscreen DVDs. The studios will oblige, and destroy any hopes of collectors getting widescreen versions of films they love.
Saw a film called "A Midnight Clear" in Best Buy the other day on DVD. Kick-ass war film. Only availabele in GOD-FORSAKEN FULLSCREEN! This is the thanks we collectors get for making DVD popular.
