After his father was murdered by the Kingpin, a Mafia-esque criminal who is also a big business tycoon, Matthew Murdock was involved in an accident with radioactive chemicals. He was rendered completely blind, but because of the radiation, his other senses were radically heightened. He trained for years in martial arts and acrobatics, and eventually became a lawyer by day and the Daredevil by night. His main goal is to fight and get revenge against the Kingpin.
