First of all, I want to say how pumped I am about Jersey Girl being in production. I think the movie is sounding like it could [dare I say will] be better than Chasing Amy.
Now, onto other matters.
I am currently in the process of attemtping to pitch two scripts I have written to various companies. I figure that hopefully they'll buy them [unlikely yes, but I can hope] and with the small amount I recieve I can work on some low budget movies.
The only problem is that I don't know how to pitch them. For some reason the scripts are good, but I can't think up a really good tagline for both of them.
This is where hopefully you guys come in.
The first script I hope to sell is my very own Vampire Movie called...
VAMPIRE ASSAULT - Copyright Ian Austin 2002 -
This movie is about a bunch of vampires who overun a village in rural England. The only hope for humanity is a bunch of misfit voluntary soldiers who have never faced anything like this before.
I envison this as The Rock with vampires, only because The Rock combined strong action sequences, a coherent plot [ at points] and good buddy banter between the protagonists.
The other script I hope to see is my very own comic book movie called...
MUTINEER - Copyright Ian Austin 2002 -
This movie is about an SAS soldier called Scott Richards, who during a mission in Scotland goes AWOL, presumed dead. Three Years Later a man comes to Aylesbury, England. He is suffering from amnesia, and the only link to his past is in... AYLESBURY, ENGLAND... When he gets there he finds it overun by three criminals - BRIMSTONE, JEOPARDY and MAVERICK - each blessed, or cursed, with a different superhuman power. The man - Mutineer - is forced to fight these three criminals, while struggling to remmeber who he is.
I think this is a cross between the action of The Matrix and the characterisation of Bandits.
What do you guys think?
