BOONDOCK SAINTS seemed to be an attempt to cash-in on the Tarantino "hip" crime-movie wave in the mid-1990s. It was well-made and acted and had some nice MTV-ish camera moves, but it's certainly nothing particularily special or original.

Don't get me wrong, I *LIKE* the movie (my dad friggin' loves it), but it's little more than one of the better Tarantino knock-offs that were made.
