: It hasn't been watchable in years. JACK BLACK couldn't save it, how was Mr. Beverly DiAngelo supposed to?
I think you were trying to find a cute way of saying "Al Pacino", but this episode was hosted by DeNiro.
: Basically, soon after Hartman left, it began slowly morphing into a show populated by sad attempts at creating recurring skits... but most importantly, "performers" who just fucking smack of "wow, they were funny at that party where everyone's drunk and kinda pretends everyone's talented anyway so OF COURSE they'll be funny in a weekly skit comedy show."
Wow, that's an awfully general statement. It's also wrong. Everyone's entitled to his or her opinion, but (A) the show was always populated by attempts at creating recurring skits, and (B) some of the post-Hartman performers were among the funniest SNL has had. Ferrell, Norm MacDonald's news, Sandler, Farley, Hammond, Morgan, etc.
: SNL is SUPPOSED to be full comprised of insanely overlooked journeyman mastercomedy craftsmen and drug-addled passionate accidents waiting to be happen... not these cute little photogenic chirpers that I need to strangle.
Why is it that every opinion you state sounds so pompous and ill-informed? You're not like that in real life, why does the internet "you" come off like a know it all guy that fears everyone's gonna suspect he doesn't know about the subject he's talking about? I'm gonna crack your code.
