If it weren't for sorry attitudes of the past, Strom Thurmond, Jesse Helms, David Duke, Trent Lott, need I go on??? The fact is the system wasn't unbiased, and to offer fair opportunity, programs such as this continue to be necessary. Let's look at gender. Augusta aside, how many women have been President or Vice President? And you expect me to believe there isn't bias left in the world?

Wake up, it'll be another generation or two, if at all, before opportunities are truly equal. This is just the tip of a bigger iceberg when it comes to people's views on ethnicity, age, gender, or sexual preference.
