As I've noticed that fellow Romero fans congregate here, I thought I'd post this.. apparently the Dawn remake is coming out in latter March, and apple.com has the trailer online in a variety of resolutions (quicktime), including a full screen option.. which is what I went with. I read alot of kvetching about this remake.. and honestly, as any true Romero fan.. I'll admit to my share of the grousing.. but in my not so humble opinon.. this deserves a look.
While it seems to lack the humor and humanity of the original (If I sound loopy to you, a thousand apologies.. I'm a seriously hardcore horror fan.. and Romero is jeez, one of my earliest film heroes.), what makes up for it is the fact they (Zack Snyder and James Gun, Gumm?) incorporated many of the story elements that Romero had originally intended for his movie. It's far grittier.. more in the 28 Days Later vein.
