: : Everything's going pretty well. I certainly don't have anything to complain about....I'm not the one up to my knees in snow. And, no, Orlando isn't a great representative of our state. Our coast cities are so much nicer. Man, I wish the holidays were over already.....I know you're not looking forward to New Year's....sorry, man.

: My best friend's in the Navy out in San Diego( side note because of your post name), but his family is moving from here in NY to Jacksonville next year. So at some point i know i'll probably get another visit to FL, but over to Jacksonville this time.

: This New Year's might be okay, i'm hopefully spending it with my two best friend's i hardly ever see. So outside of being a little more angry and depressed than normal things should be alright. Hoping to not really bring anything up, with what these next few weeks involve, you have my best.

: Back to the post name though. Were you in the Navy? I tried to enlist last year, but there was a medical hang-up for the field i was going for.

J-ville's okay, very huge, and the city's getting more metropolitan all the time. We're in Sarasota....very much a beach town, laid back, just our speed.

Yes, I was in Naval Aviation for 4 years, inactive for another 4. I love San Diego....would much rather be there than J-ville, but unfortunately, when it's time to move on, you don't have too much say about it.

I really do hope you make it through alright. I'm sure I will. I originally planned to go back to Cleveland (where my dad lived) and spend it with my stepmom and my sisters & their families, but you know what? It's just too damn hard. So we're staying here in FL, staying warm, staying relatively happy. I don't think I could handle taking the trip to the cemetery to see the new headstone, being in the house where he died, having all my sisters crying, ACH! I love him very much, but I think I'd rather keep his memory alive down here. I'm just not ready for the whole family holiday thing yet.

What city in NY do you live?

~~Kelly
