Real quick...as far as I know, the two main tenets of the Catholic way to absolve yourself of sin before death are believing that Christ is your savior and being truly sorry.
#1. Bartelby and Loki have both met God. They know Jesus exists and is God's son (and he's black). I'd think it would be easy for them to believe in him knowing what they know.
#2. Personally, I think Bartelby and Loki were both truly sorry. they questioned God and got spanked worse than people criticizing the Jay/Bob series on this board. Hell, knowing what they know, yeah, I think they both felt regret and remorse for what they'd done.
PS - one last thing...have Bartelby and Loki been in Wisconsin since Sodom and Gammorah?? That would mean they lived in the forest and hung out with Native Americans and shit. Any yet...and yet, they both look and speak like they come from the suburbs? Weird.
