Are those REALLY the most audience responsive eps?

Because, while they were OKAY, if those are the best episodes (most audience responsive, anyway), then I don't know about this series. I enjoyed 'em, definitely, but I do understand why ABC has been shaky over the series.

My main problem is, there's no plot. Now before all you VA purists flame me back telling me the best part of the Clerks movie were its Star Wars refernces, sex jokes, and the like, a general plot could and should be stretched around the Clerks premise.

And, of course, the annoying running gags that, while I like, most of my friends would get pissed off at, and change the channel. "Why are we walking like this?", for example.

Maybe ABC's judgement is flawed, and these WEREN'T the most audience responsive, but if these are, I too would be shaky over the series.

I just thought a little constructive criticism is needed on this board, because most people's opinions fall into two catagories:

Either 1. complete and utter flaming: "This show sux!", and nothing to back it up.

Or 2. View Askew loyalty, which is either based on blind support for anything Kevin touches, or fear of becoming one of those critics we've defended him against so many times.

I DO, as I said, enjoy the show, though. Any thoughts?
