I missed it but so what. I think it's so odd for people on this board, of all places, to start criticizing others for their sexual ethics.
It's amazing to me how people can overlook lies and manipulations about...
Who Won the Election
Weapons of Mass Destruction
Insider Trading that has Crippled Our Economy
Covert War
The Deliberate and Ruthless Use of Tragedy to Further a Neo-Conservative Agenda and Destroy Our Civil Rights
Yes, Americans find all these easy to forget. They'd rather not think about it in the first place.
But let a man lie about a blowjob, and he'll be hearing it 'til the end of time.
It's commonly accepted that the president must alter or withhold the truth at times, for reasons of "national security". Hell, the very pitbulls that chased after Clinton for YEARS, spending millions in taxpayer money, for simple intern-banging, now claim that when it comes to questioning Cheney about his dirty energy-dealings, that they have "too much respect for their office and the work he has to do". Oh, don't distract him!
Is it not LESS ethical to lie about energy policy than your own personal sex life -- something that should all rights be your private business?
Some things Vincent said amazed me and I want you guys to hear an alternate perspective --
The "Clinton thing" was not about him lying on national TV to the American public. That's not the reason he was impeached, nor did the American public ever not understand and forgive him for it. His approval numbers LEAPT after the whole scandal.
He was impeached for lying in front of a Grand Jury.
HOWEVER, that interrogation was a complete mockery of sexual harassment laws. In any normal sexual harassment trial, the accused should not be questioned about obviously consensual affairs. His answer should therefore be irrelevant.
Should he have lied? No. Is it understandable? Yes. Is it worth destabilizing our government, putting all legislation on hold for a year, and making a global mockery of the American government? I don't think so.
History will prove us all fools. Eight years of investigation on YOUR dime, secret tapes, spies, and all they came up with on the guy was a half-finished blowjob.
Meanwhile, the Old Guard Oil Barons rode the wave of the stupid trumped-up scandal right into office.
As for a 50 year old banging a 20-something who, by all evidence, was waaaaay more into him than he into her, being "the sleaziest thing someone could do" -- Vincent, what the fuck are you doing working for ViewAskew?
