**This is in response to a topic on the pervious board, where the origins of the Mr. Toad's Wild Ride were being debated with all the scholarly debating skills of the "Philosopher Conversation" in THE MEANING OF LIFE.**

Have NONE of you read WIND IN THE WILLOWS? Kenneth Grahame? When did the world go mad?
Jesus H. Christmas! This is what happens when you don't go near books longer than 32 pages that don't have pictures of dudes with claws fighting guys shooting ray beams. I'm all for reading comics, fellas, but they should not be the only books on your collective shelves.

Why do you people *like* Kevin's movies, and their chockfulla-references, if they are all lost on you? STARTED AS A RIDE AT DISNEY? That's like saying ROMEO & JULIET is based on WEST SIDE STORY. Or some other analogy, only wittier and more insightful.

Cripes, though.. Isn't WIND IN THE WILLOWS required to read, otherwise they won't let you celebrate your 10th birthday? You have to stay 9 until you read it, I thought.

Know you nothing of Mole? Mr. Toad of Toad Hall? Misanthropic Badger?

I weep for you. Weep, in fact, like a willow.
