how do you VA guys feel about DVD region coding

I get pretty P**** off when i read that Warner Bros is fiddeling about with some new kind of region protection. To stop us nasty europeans importing the region 1 DVD..

Ok,I would LOOVE to be able to buy Reg2 dvds, It bugs me that i need to wait 14 days for my flicks. But seriusly, what do you filmmakers expect? Take Fight Club as a example, the American version has two discs and is filled with extras... the European version? No extras(one disc version), and it costs around 30$ bucks.. i payed 21 for my Reg.1 Fight Club. I would be a idiot to not buy the reg.1 version.

And then there is the issue of movies, as a example no VA flicks is due out on reg2 dvd. And this is NOT limited to VA films i might add.

NOW to my question....
WHY-O-WHY do you filmmakers have a problem with europeans importing reg1?
its not like we´re stealing them or anything, we just dont like to be hustled, and right now you GET HUSTLED EACH TIME U BUY A REG2 DISC..
