Please don't get me wrong, I'm really not as negative as I'm coming across. I've just seen too much (and I'm too single!) to be as much of an optimist as Dobbin. I really do believe in love, and romance, and passion, and that at least in theory it's possible to have all of these in one relationship. It's even possible to have a lasting relationship, though I don't think any lasting relationship can ALWAYS be loving and romantic and passionate.
Didn't this all start out as a reassurance to the guys that we're not all looking for the big, dumb bohunk? I hadn't been planning on becoming the poster child for the negative view on life and love. Ah, well...
I'll sum up, going back to that original idea for a moment and being at least SLIGHTLY on-topic, by saying this:
Some of us are looking for the Kevin Smith's out there, rather than the Ben Affleck's. ;-)
