spoiler question about ending

This is definately a spoiler so please don't this read this if you haven't seen the movie!!

Okay: I just saw the film and liked it a lot (though I could do without all the swearing), but I was confused by the ending. Both angels became human and died. So, will they go to heaven, hell, or cease to exist? Bartleby may have been forgiven by God before she killed him, but I wasn't sure. Anyone know?
Another question: wasn't the idea of a war in heaven between Lucifer and other angels mostly from the book "Paradise Lost," not the Bible?
