: : : Ok quick question here concering Plenary Indulgence. When Loki is murdered by Bartleby the understanding is he goes straight to Heaven.
: : In my understanding, the dude went to hell. He never got a morally clean slate and god decreed he would never go to heaven again. If he had went to heaven when he was killed the universe would have been kaput, that was kinda the point of them trying to stop him and Bartleby the whole movie. And whatever Affleck says, Ill never buy the idea that Bartleby went to heaven, it was either hell or nothingness.
: You never know, tho.
: The idea that the universe would be "kaput" as you say was based upon that God's word would have been wrong. Which isn't possible. --BUT-- if God had changed her mind and allowed Bartleby into heaven, that would work-out.
: Just a ponderable.

They say everything is based on god be infallable. God can't be wrong, since god decreed they could NEVER be allowed in heaven again, changing that wouldnt really work would it? God cant change something he decreed or that would show he could make mistakes, It would be him agreeing that that punishment was a mistake, and that he'd take it back. Had god just banished them for a period it would be ok, but from my point of view, when god says NEVER, it means NEVER. Going back on that would prove god fallible wouldnt it? And anyway, Loki was killed before God could do anything about it, so he was going to hell anyways. Bartlebys the only one who is in question.
